Valentine’s Day

Don’t you know everyday is
one made for love…

Today’s a little special because
humanity made a pact long
before you were born

It started in the 14th century
with Geoffrey Chaucer’s
circle of romantic love

Then tradition found its way
to 18th century England
where lovers shared flowers

And of course there’s that
old Saint Valentine, you know,
the martyr who lost his head

You don’t want to lose your head,
do you?

Don’t you know everyday is
one made for love…

Today’s a little special because
humanity made a pact long
before you were born
